ABOUT BULBUL RAY FOUNDATION
Myself Bulbul Ratan Ray the founder of "Bulbul Ray Foundation". 17 years ago, I shifted from Kolkata to Mumbai after my marriage. I always wanted to help cancer patients because i lost my father because of cancer when I was much younger.
My husband and I sell winter blankets and sweaters on the footpath at Parel TT and one day when I was at my shop, I saw a person waiting besides me, narrated the problems that some patients face in communicating medical issue with doctor because of a language barrier. I realised that the patients from north east were suffering a lot because of their language difficulty. I realised that I had been given an opportunity to serve these patients and help them believe that service to Man is service to God.
I started helping patients since 2006 and I thought by helping these patients I am helping my father, That time I didn't knew about the treatments and which is the reason I lost my father and today when I am helping them I think that I am helping my father, this makes me happy. I am continuing challenging myself to see happy face of a cancer patients an every single day with moral obligation to find more happy face every day .
I have registered an NGO to serve more cancer patients under "Bulbul Ray Foundation" on 29 may 2019 . I had started distributing foods to cancer patients during covid lockdown i.e from 2 April 2022 with the help of Bengal club shivaji park and akshardhara foundation at many places where the patients are staying. I am still distributing foods to cancer patients till date near tata memorial hospital then I opened a small cancer home for cancer patients at Sion in 2021 .
I try my best to make all my cancer patients happy by celebrating different frestivals with them and birthdays etc which makes them even more happy. I will always try my best to continue this work and I hope you will also join us.
Vision
We believe that no illness should be an obstacle in leading a complete fulfilled and happy life and therefore we try our best to make our patients happy by celebrating different festivals and motivate them to fight with cancer.
Mission
Our mission is to make our patients happy by celebrating many festivals with them birthday etc and make them feel that they are not having any diseases we hope you will also join us to help more and more patients.
